The Nominations for the 81st Academy Awards! -... →
I’m officially disappointed in the Academy. Dark Knight left out of Best Picture and Best Director for a bunch of stupid festival films that were released in the winter just to get out in time for the Oscars. And come on, Changeling? Really? Wasn’t that supposed to suck? And where’s the love for Gran Torino?

WOOT!!
W00T!! The BCS goes to DC!! →
Usually I’m against Congressional hearings regarding sports issues, but this one is actually worth it. The wheels are in motion for a series of hearing that will look at the current BcS system, with the end result possibly being the elimination of the system and a playoff format being installed. Keep your fingers crossed!
Maybin makes it official →
Penn State DE Aaron Maybin officially announced Tuesday that he will enter the 2009 NFL Draft. Le sigh.
More good news for Watchmen fans →
The January 20th court date originally set to determine whether or not the Watchmen movie’s release would be delayed has been canceled. This fuels more speculation that negotiations between Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox have been productive and a deal is imminent. Stay tuned, kids.
Prison Break (finally) Canceled →
Finally… the show that should have only lasted one season is getting canned at the end of its fourth, officially wearing out its welcome. (Also, comingsoon.net spelled ‘canceled’ wrong—click the link to see it for yourself).

A little while ago there was some cube restructuring at the office and yada-yada-yada I have a big 2 foot x 2 foot empty space on one of my walls (soft material-can use pushpins), right above my computer monitor. Any ideas for something awesome that could go there?
Yes. And I’m putting it in the mail… tomorrow.

Hah! I got all of them! Of course, Oakland was the last one I got, but they’re always last, right?

There are 32 teams in the NFL. Can you name them all?
Studios Say Watchmen Settlement Talks Productive -... →
Good news for Watchmen fans… there are “productive” talks between 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. over the Watchmen release. Warner Bros. now wants the judge to postpone the hearing on Jan. 20, a day after asking for it to be moved up. LMAO. I hope this gets resolved STAT.

The Directors Follow Suit, Nominate Dark Knight -... →
Yay for Dark Knight!! They received nominations for best film from the Producer’s Guild, Writer’s Guild, and now Director’s Guild. Oscar nominations come out two weeks from today… could it be nominated by the Academy as well?
Warner Bros. Wants Watchmen Call Sooner -... →
Oh now Warner Bros. wants to act sooner. First they ignore calls from 20th Century Fox from almost a year ago until this thing comes to a head, and now they want a decision on whether to delay the March 6 release sooner than 12 days from now. Way to grow a set Warner. I wonder if this has anything to do with the announcement yesterday that Time Warner had their first in-the-red year in what,...
Watchmen Release Date Decision on Jan. 20 -... →
The fate of Watchmen could be decided Jan. 20, at least the fate of it’s March 6, 2009 release date. Keep your fingers crossed…
